The arrow of time seems to point towards increasing "assistive devices": eyeglasses, hearing aids...and now a recommendation that one of us wear thigh-high compression stockings more or less all the time. Now if it was Mrs FL with that recommendation, it would be a no-brainer, she looks great in thigh-highs. However, that recommendation has come to Mr. FL. The choices are "black" or "tan". And while they have a definite pleasing shaping effect, it's still feels a bit weird to be wearing them. Perhaps we should change our handle to "The Thigh Highs" or similar.
What assistive devices have become part of your daily lives? Are there any assistive devices that would be a deal-breaker for you if one or both of another couple had them?
