I've never been sold on how bills get presented and passed. This latest bill for stimulus is a prime example. Why do they just lump everything into one big bill when the whole thing could be killed due to just one item.

Wouldn't it be better if they broke each piece out and voted on them item by item? In the end let's say that 15 out of 20 items gets passed. That's the bill.

Also I've never been a big believer in all the votes being public. I think it puts party favoritism above personal opinion.

If the congress person wants to brag to the press about their vote then fine but all in all I think privacy on this matter would improve progress.
