So we have a new set of so-called rules that say they are intent is to stop sexual trafficking. HR 1865, "FOSTA" is, in reality, a means by which ultra conservatives can once again come into our bedrooms and govern what happens in our private lives. And of course do nothing to stop human trafficking. Craigslist already bailed and recently shut down all their personal postings. What effect is this Frankenstein Censorship bill going to have on SLS? What is the response going to be? Is SLS going to run and hide like Craigslist? Is the ACLU going to respond to this blatant censorship overreach by challenging it in court? I am very interested in hearing what the SLS community has to say about the future of online hook-ups. We are waking up to a new world that looks like it is going to be very different than it was before FOSTA.
