Wife and I are full-fledged swingers, and have been now for over 18 years. Full-swap, usually with other couples, the occasional threesome. We also play as singles at certain clubs, events, parties. Before that 10 years or so of soft-swing. We are playing these days with a relatively newbie couple that is "soft-swing." To the extent, we are doing everything with them except actual intercourse, ( their decision, their limitation. ) Oral, fingers, toys, massage ... everything except putting it in with these two. Now they are extremely passionate, sexually intense. The fact they are saving intercourse only for each other doesn't bother us one bit. When we play with these guys, we come away thoroughly exhausted. Our encounters are PHYSICAL, not so much psychological.
So the lady in this equation is now exploring BDSM. To the extent she is trying out the equipment, enjoying mild pain, such as the spanking aspect. She is now trying the blindfolds, restraints, clamps. So far she likes it. Her hubby is going along mainly because it gives HER the thrill, not so much him. Psychological encounter, more than physical. This couple is now planning a first visit to a BDSM club; what can they expect to experience ? The club does not serve alcohol. It does not allow sex or sex acts on premises. Nor does it have performers; they don't do " shows." So .. Is it mostly about watching others ? Do BDSM people commonly entrust their partner's safety and comfort to strangers, trade them off, give them out or order them to serve others at these events? Also, do people into BDSM shift gears back and forth, between swinging and serving / dominating ? ( At the place where we socialize, our party house, maybe 60 couples show up for any given event, 1/3 to 1/2 of them are sexually interactive. Occasionally, someone does show up at our events from the BDSM world. They do their thing, whips, flogging, etc ..... but I / ( we ) can't seem to connect those disciplines and practices as a sexual pathway. But again, that's just US.)
