While driving to Newport News, Virginia I had decided that I would look into renting a hotel room for a little bit. For some reason I wanted to stay a while. I wanted to have a room that was not shabby and would allow me to keep my U-haul parked in the garage locked and out of the way so that it did not have to attached to my car every where I went. Then I discovered this quaint little beach house right on the beach. This cottage had an outdoor pool and its own private walkway and stairs to the beach. It looked as if it also had an attached garage where I might possibly be able to store my U-haul. It was perfect and I immediately called the rental company to see if it was available.

A woman answered the phone at Sun Realty. She sounded young to me and I asked her about the property. She told me that it was available for the rest of the summer and that they were running a deal right now that if you paid for the season they would cut the price down by 35%. I jumped on the deal and asked if they took credit. She said they did and that their office was only two blocks away if I wanted to swing by to pay and pick up the key. ?I am on my way.?

I pulled into the realty company go out of the car and walked up to the door. Inside I find a petite young woman with flaming red hair and hazel eyes. I could tell that she was a native because she was quite evenly tanned. I wondered to my self if she lay out in the nude on the porch of her own cottage. It wasn?t long before I was back at the cottage with the key in my hand and a place that I could call home at least for the summer that is. I slipped the key into the lock and it turned like a hot knife through butter. I wanted to survey the inside of the cottage to see what kind of deal I got. Walking inside I immediately noticed the kitchen was stocked with all the modern appliances, everything you need to cook, and ample space for food storage. This made me happy because I would not have to unpack my stuff from the U-haul. The kitchen and dining room were combined but they were huge. The patio wrapped around the cottage completely with entrances from the living, kitchen/dining rooms, and bedroom.

I dropped my bags on the king size bed in the bedroom and started to unpack. There was ample space for all my stuff in there and in the bathroom. I found in there a whirlpool tub big enough for four people and walk-in shower. The window near the tub overlooked the pool and the ocean. I was sure this would create some wonderful sunsets while soaking to unwind. First thing on my agenda was just that.

I filled the tub and turned on the jets. Relaxing I wondered to myself if there were any clubs nearby that might strike my interest and I decided to check out the town when I was done with my soak and got something to eat. Nearly half an hour into my soak I was ready to get out when the phone rang (surprisingly there was one in the bathroom). ?Hello?? A young woman?s voice came through and said ?Good Afternoon, this is Hayleigh, from Sun Realty. May I speak with Raven?? Startled at first wondering why she had called, ?This is Raven.?

?Oh hello, sorry to disturb you, I was just wondering if you got settled into the cottage.? Never have I had a rental company call me to make sure of this. ?I?m good, Hayleigh, I actually just got out of the tub. I wanted to take a soak and then was going to go get something to eat.? My mind for some reason went back to my adventures with Jenny when I heard her voice. ?I?m glad that you have gotten settled in. I just wanted to let you know that there should be a list of local clubs, restaurants, and such near the kitchen phone. Again, if you need anything just call my personal cell phone.?

I wasn?t sure by her voice if that was all that she wanted or not. ?Hayleigh, if you are not doing anything, would you mind possibly showing me around town tonight?? This was an opportunity that I was certain that I should not pass up since I am new in town and down know all of the great places to go. There was a silence on her end and I was sure she had hung up when she said, ?Yeah how does six o?clock sound. I?ll pick you up.? I told her that was a good time for me and she told me that incase I was a little hungry right now that the pantry and fridge were fully stocked along with the bar.

Stocked bar sounded great to me because right now I have got a bit of the butterflies and a drink or two would calm me down. I walked over to the fridge to grab the ice. In the bar I grabbed a small glass and put a couple ice cubes inside it. Then found my favorite liquor was stocked Southern Comfort. I sucked down that first glass like it was nothing and poured a second. This time instead of guzzling it I walked back to the bedroom to decide what I would wear tonight when Hayleigh took me out on the town.
