It'd be nice to receive an automatic notification when someone opens their photo galleries to us. All too often, people open photos and don't realize that a notification isn't sent out.
If that's not in the cards, then a simple note on the Grant Photo Gallery Access Permissions screen that lets people know that they have to manually notify folks when they open galleries to them. That'd be better than nothing.
