I have a lifetime membership as a single and pay every 3 months with my play partner, but I will not renew again. I have been here since 2011 and watched a bad (but usable) site just get worse and worse, all due to senseless, unnecessary changes.
For every longtime member, we all basically wanted one thing: better search features. Allow for more attributes on profiles and let people search them out. Very basic technology. Toss in some navigation improvements and maybe an upgrade beyond HTML 2.0 and you had a winner. Instead, they decided to not allow opt out of IM and eventually took away mail. Now we are left with a god awful message system. It was an intentional downgrade that makes the site even harder to use and harder to filter out noise. This website is so bad that this account will no longer be paid after expiration. My lifetime acct is what it is, but I haven't used that much in a couple years anyway. Never before have I seen owners intentionally sabotage themselves like these people do. It is illogical and senseless, almost to the point where you need to believe they are doing it on purpose. I will check back in from my other acct as I let this one go Free. Unless things revert back to their poor (but usable) state, then I am done. I haven't looked, but I am sure I find what I want elsewhere.
