I'm Jim and new here and new to swinging. I'm 76 in a great long term marriage that has become a sexless marriage, so I am here as a single male, with wife approval.
Like many people I had thought swinging was maybe a bit sketchy. It's easy to imagine all kinds of thing about something you know little to nothing about. The first thing I learned here that was a surprise is just how couples dominate swinging is. The next thing was the level of communication, respect, trust and commitment the couples that swing have with and for each other. As a whole better than non-swinger couples, definitely a bonus. Swingers seem to be a more inclusive than the general population. With one possible acceptation, single males. I have met some resistance or suspicion, might be my age or that I'm married and here single. I have run into a number of profiles that block all single males. From what I understand there are a lot of single males that are some combination of disrespectful, rude, too aggressive, inept and so on. I believe when you decide to block an entire class of members of your group, it does cast a shadow over the inclusiveness of the group. All that said, in general I have been very pleased with the people here, especially mismolly, she is the best. There seems to be more bi and bi curious women in swinging than straight. This is most definitely not a bad thing. Last but not least is how swingers are able to get past the "social norms of sexuality" and decide for their self how to express their own sexuality. I think societal baggage it not all that easy to shake off. Anyway just wanted to share those thoughts. Cheers
