We are usually very thick skinned, but for some reason this one is bothering me. We posted a hotdate seeking single males for new Years Eve asking if anyone didn't make plans and wanted a chill night away from big parties and craziness. We said maybe shoot some pool grab some food and a few drinks. A single guy reached out on Dec 26 and we basically made plans to meet. There are a few pool halls around some better than the others so I told him we would narrow it down. We then started chatting about football this and that over the next few days. I reached out yesterday Dec 30 saying we would either go to his pool hall with good food or the one closer to him with okay food. We expected a reply with his opinion of which one to go to. He reply's no problem I'm not 100% committed yet he is looking for a date that night. WTF???????????? So he is making plans with us but looking for another date....in other words if he can't find a date he will "settle" for my wife.
I gave it a few hours and then replied, "we decided to not go out". I was just going to let it fade away and move on. He kept pestering us why we changed our mind, so I told him he was seeking a date and if he didn't find one he would "settle" for meeting us and that turned us off. He replies, well if I would have found a date I would have asked first then he wanted to be given a 2nd chance to possibly meet in the future. My question, am I being thin-skinned over this, or should I block him. I'm not really looking for an answer, I just wanted to toss this out for others to enjoy. Happy New Years everyone.
