TOPIC: Rough night, lot of questions

We’ve gone to one club several times and were excited to move things to the next level. We knew to keep expectations in check but were excited at the possibilities of new adventures. We started at a new club but things were slow. A couple came up to us but the guy who sat right up against my wife was super drunk and slurring. Wife was not turned on but him. We left and went to our usual club. We entered a small room with multiple couples engaged in various activities. The guy next to my wife was getting a BJ. He ran his hands up my wife’s leg and she pushed it away. He did it again and my wife pushed his hands away again, crossed her legs and pushed away from him and into me. She was just not in the mood and not attracted to the guy. I kissed her to and figured he had taken the hint. Then he touched her leg again and ran his hand up her skirt. She felt trapped. She was embarrassed to yell no in a crowd small room full of people having sex. She ended up running out of the room, crying, feeling violated and embarrassed. Should she have said NO loudly? Should I have recognized her feeling threatened and told the guy to back off? Should we not have entered the room if not ready to take on any random encounter that happened? Should we take a break on clubs and try others types of encounters where you can get to know and trust people first? We are having fun exploring what the LS means to us and want to keep exploring possibilities. Any constructive supportive advice appreciated.
