I live in AZ, a state with 7 million people, which happens to be short on water.
I could focus on reducing my water usage 10%, which would reduce the entire state's usage by 1/7,000,000 of 10%, which if I count my zeros, is 0.0000014%. If, however, I con everyone. .. I mean convince... everyone else to cut their usage 10%, then I get 7,000,000 times the impact. In regards to safe sex, if you bareback, you may have a 1 in 1,000,000 (per partner) chance of getting one of the bad STDs... HIV, hepatitis c, one of the cancer causing hpvs... However a big part of the reason is because everyone else has been using condoms for the last 40 years. Convince others to back off on condom use, prevalence will increase, and will begin to make those 1 in a million odds slowly higher. Therefore, if you bareback, lie and con...vince everyone else to use codoms!
