The "Politics" area has devolved from rational discourse to something that resembles "I'm right, you're wrong, hooray for our side--and here's another grenade lobbed at you." Lincoln remarked on the "house divided against itself"--and we seem not only divided but splintered. It is well and good to engage in vigorous debate of ideas, of the merits of this or that candidate for office and so on. Ad hominem/feminem attacks ultimately hurt us all. Can we stop?
