For those that are happy as fuck that we killed 'Salami' think about this some more.
Yesterday, I had to spend some time driving around Santa Barbara county. I spent about 3.5 hours in the vehicle. I took the time and listened to a very interesting podcast. It was Ralph Nader, Andrew Napolitano and Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson. Wilkerson was Colin Powell's Chief of Staff under Bush, Jr. So this is VERY right wing. It was very interesting to listen to the perspective of Napolitano and then Wilkerson. Napolitano and Nader were both disappointed that Obama didn't try Bush, Jr. for war crimes. They were also disappointed that Trump didn't try Obama for war crimes. One of the interesting points of the discussion was Wilkerson stating what I and a few others here have been saying. He actually went a little further as well. But the point he made was that while we may think that killing "Salami" we were punishing for his actions, that Iran has still been fighting since we overthrew their government in 53 and installed the Shah. That the citizens there have been working and making progress of getting rid of the cleric's running the country and get back to democracy, like they had in 53. He stated, the problem now is that while Trump killed the guy for political reasons to get a bump, by doing that, it unified all the iranians. Even those that were against the clerics, now they are united. So yes, he became a martyr tying other people together. Another interesting point and this was a perspective. "Salami" killed a few hundred. The US has killed 500k to 1m Iranians. I do not remember the exact phrasing and am waiting for the transcript, but it was a perspective. Wilkerson asked, "Who are the terrorists?"
