It was interesting learning some things about this group in here.
There are very few people who can actually think. This group in here has become the people they bitch the most about ___. They have gone angry. They have screamed that things were better in ____. They have screamed that the country will be ____. They have become very bitter, angry old white men. There is nothing positive, even when Trump was president, they still bitched about things. It's amazing how much anger a person can live with and for how long. I thought I might want to know what people were angry about, but I no longer need to. I think I have figured it out. They just want to be angry. Pretty pathetic. I love how all these people are screaming constitution. They are screaming how the 'founding fathers' did . . . They are screaming about what they want things to be because they don't know better. I have not shared this before, but will now. I am a SAR. I have 6 bloodlines that fought in the American Revolution. I have been to numerous SAR meetings. I deal with a lot of people who are similar to the get-off my lawn people I am describing here on SLS. Do the other members like me? Somewhat. They know I will always bring a perspective that they don't see and point out the hypocrisy of their position. At least they are open-minded enough to listen and contemplate change. One of the things I asked them is what defines an American? They went down a list of all the characteristics that they felt. I said to all of them, "You are missing the consistent characteristic of an American." They looked confused and I stated, "We like to bitch." We were founded by bitching. Our constitution was created by bitching. Everything has been about bitching. Tribalism existed then just like it does today. Every now and then it takes someone with some balls and foresight to fix it. As an example, and I feel confident that very few if any know this at all. The constitutional convention in Philly was gonna be a shitshow. Washington was brought in to not make it a shitshow. One of the first things he did was close the windows and ban all the members of the convention to talk to anyone outside the room about what was going on inside the room. He did not sequester them per se, but he wanted the members from being persuaded by outside influences. Those tribes could influence the decision by someone in the room to not look at the bigger picture. So the next time you get off my lawn crowd starts screaming your typical rants, read what you wrote. Learn what happened when the people you praise were in that position. Then see if you really are following them or not. There is more to this topic. Let's see what the crowd does.
