It is in toothpaste and abbreviated SLS. Leads to some funny headlines, my favorite being:
What is SLS and Why Does It Make Things Taste Funny? When I saw it, I was pretty sure I knew the answer to both questions! (I can't seem to link urls here... you will have to search for yourself)
