Just some observations, but have noted that the hotel in Amsterdam, Viking cruise ship, and the hotel in Cologne, Germany have all had beds without coil spring mattresses. It's more like a giant futon mattress than what we're used to. They also have all had just a duvet (soft comforter) versus a top sheet, blanket and comforter.
The hotel in Germany had lots of TV stations, but no decent English speaking options. We currently have a Firestick and can stream Amazon Prime video and some other channels, but Hulu knew we weren't in the US and would not work. At a minimum, next time I'll pacK a USB-C to HDMI cable so I can stream directly from our phones. I could not get screen mirroring to work via Bluetooth. Interestingly enough, the ship had both US and European power available, but that may be rare. We've found very few cases where we couldn't use our credit card, so didn't need a lot of euros. Most of the places we've visited so far have good available public transportation with cards that allow for unlimited usage over a 1-3 day period. Just capturing some random thoughts while they're fresh in mind. Will probably have more, but feel free to add to this if you can think of anything.
