Bliss Mgt, LLC [Bliss Cruise] announced today the signing of a new charter on the Celebrity Summit for its April 17 - 22, 2023 adult charter cruise.

The five-day clothing-optional sailing will depart from Miami, Florida and visit Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Georgetown, Grand Cayman along with two fantastic days at sea.

This appears to be a replacement charter for the now-cancelled April 2021 5 night charter originally scheduled to visit Jamaica & Grand Cayman!

Yes, this April, 2021 cruise has been officially cancelled. Here's the notification just posted today, January 12th:

Bliss Cruise has received the following update from Celebrity Cruises:

Tuesday, January 12th - Celebrity Cruises continues to focus on the healthy and safe return to cruising for guests, crew and the communities we visit. As we work closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and government authorities around the world toward this shared goal, we are extending the suspension of all sailings departing between March 1 and April 30, 2021 along with the Apex Transatlantic sailing of 5/1/21 and the 2021 Europe Season for Edge and Constellation's sailings departing May - October 2021. Celebrity Cruises, as part of the Royal Caribbean Group, continues to work with our Healthy Sail Panel of globally recognized scientific and medical experts to come back stronger, and we look forward to welcoming our guests back on board. We are reaching out to our guests and travel partners to share further details and address any questions or concerns they may have.

Unfortunately, this means the Bliss Cruise charter for April 2021 on the INFINITY ship is now CANCELLED by Celebrity. If you still have an active booking, your travel agent will contact you about options. If you have booked directly with Bliss Cruise, the Bliss office will contact you. As more details emerge will we keep you updated.

The cruise has been cancelled....again

This will be our second Bliss cruise, first one was out of LA. We had a great time and even with the potential for CDC restrictions and one port of call, we’re planning on going and will be sure to have a great time. Here is the latest information from the Charter Operator regarding this April, 2021 cruise.

However, what they are not including in the release is the fact that this ship DID NOT undergo any sort of "revolution" update and retrofit, which in-fact was postponed indefinitely several months ago, so don't expect anything new or modern as advertised! This plus the change in itinerary to a single port at the cruise line's private retreat in Haiti is rather disappointing, especially without offering to reduce the fare basis to reflect their savings in fuel costs and port charges!

Keep in-mind that it will be reasonably likely that all passengers will be required to show proof of COVID vaccine immunization prior to boarding!

"The April 2021 Bliss Cruise Charter on Celebrity Infinity has NOT been canceled.

Our April 2021 charter has been fully paid for and both the Bliss team and Celebrity are currently working toward an on-time departure. We all want to get back to having fun and enjoying life!! That being said, the CDC has ultimate authority over cruises that originate in the United States. In line with the new protocols that have been administered by the CDC, the following are being discussed and are expected to apply to the April 2021 charter:

While not definitive, it is likely the charter will have a limited capacity, possibly as low as 50%. Buffet dining will not be self-serve. Regular and specialty dining will likely be limited to two passengers per table. Entertainment venues will require social distancing, this includes the theatre as well as many others. Our nightly themed dances are expected to have serious limitations. It is unlikely that public playrooms will be available."

I heard it was canceled?

We requested to cancel but yet to get a response. Changing ports without asking is unsat. Probably last cruise we go on with the way they are disregarding the customers.

It's not just the sudden port cancellations with a mere substitution of their leasehold in Haiti, it's also the fact that this 19 year old ship's advertised complete renovation and retro-fit has been postponed indefinitely, which should be especially concerning to those guests who were intending to remain onboard a newly-revamped vessel the entire trip!

Just saw the port changes, since we hadn't really planned on leaving the ship anyway, it doesn't feel like a terrible change. After this shitstorm of a year, I'm not surprised by anything lol ... The theme nights have been posted, so I guess planning the little bit of clothing needed will be on the agenda. Looking forward to meeting new friends and hanging out with old ones.
