| Ahoy ye Hot Wenches and Scallywags! Sail Swingers are set'n a course For Put-In Bay and the Pyrate Fest IV! June 22nd through the 24th. Wench'n and grog'n and orgies of fun, come join the crew as we plunder and pillage South Bass island of lake Erie! We are posting this early this year to encourage you landlubbers and pirates both to BOOK ROOMS EARLY! The island fills up quick and rooms-hotels-bed and breakfasts as well as camping spots are already being reserved. Please pay attention ye scurvy dogs to Captian Wetbeards discussion here on sail swingers group for changes in schedule, but on the roster is the following: Friday night we make land and have a private swingers only meet and greet starting about 7:00! This has been a wonderful way to kicK off the weekend, and as always we HIGHLY encourage wearing your piratical best! Saturday is breakfast grub at 9:00. (Location is still open but will likely be downtown PIB). Noon is never too late for grog'n so we will plan on having a gathering at the Doller winery right down Bayview Ave. Saturday afternoon is full of pirate festivities including a parade, reenactments, music in the streets, and general plundering and pillaging! Saturday evening starting around 7 will be the Now famous Pyrates Ball at the Boathouse! Complete with wicked wench and best buccaneer contest, and some pirate sea shanties! Sunday is a day for recovering and treasure hunting. Boaters...sailors and power, we encourage you to either reserve a dock, or get to the island early friday, (or even thursday). This year the festival will likely become one of the biggest single theme events of the year! Contact Wetbeard for docking suggestions if you need. Otherwise fly your yellow lifestyle ribbons from your boat! for accommidations we recommend the Commodore hotel, since it right in the center of the action, however there's MANY options including the Commodore on Port Clinton with a package deal with the Miller ferry. For those that enjoy more peace and quiet the State campgrounds are excellent! Transportation for ye landlubbers is either the Miller ferry or Jet express (see further discussions) We will try and secure our traditional first spot on Dock A and will have a bulletin board posted. We will also have yellow ribbons for you bilge rats that are too full of rum to remember.. This is sail Swingers(and now PIB's)biggest event of the year and is also our Summer Sailstice this year!! If your going to come to only 1 event...this is the one!! |
