Wow ... Thank you all for all the hints and advice. General search shows several restaurants specializing in Cajun - Creole cuisine. On top of the list comes Commander's Palace, Mandina's Restaurant. Bon Ton Cafe and K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen. We are still wondering where to find the best turtle soup, crayfish, alligator and other famous dishes of New Orleans.

We never missed a Naughty in Nawlins since the started doing the event. It's our favorite event of the year! This is a big event not a house party. If you want to have drinks in your room by all means bring whatever you want to drink. However, you won't be able to bring your drinks into the hotel dance. As far as I know every state has liquor laws that would prohibit you from bring your own drinks. It's never a problem finding a cash bar at any of the functions in the hotel.

One of the great things about this event is that there is something for everyone. Since our room last year over looked the pool I can tell you that some people spend the entire convention at the playing around at the pool. The hotel allows a lot of freedom during the event. Some couples spend a lot of time at night hanging out on Bourbon street flashing for beads. Personally we enjoy the afternoon bar meets. Some of them like Razoo's gets naked and very wild. Some are more of a meet and greet but it's a great way to get to know others. In any case you can go to the bar and if it's your thing stay as long as you want or you can just wander the French Quarter which is always interesting. Somehow we always get caught up in the atmosphere of the French Quarter and end up having to walk a long ways back to the hotel!

The afternoon bar events are usually very sexy and fun. They are like an appetizer getting everyone excited about the night to come. The excitement continues at the theme dances. You'll have a lot more fun if you dress very sexy and in theme. It's an all out orgy once you hit the party rooms. Bob and Tess always do an amazing job creating theme play rooms. If you want to take a break from playing you can always step out onto the balcony where you can flash the crowds or have a late night pizza snack.

On Wednesday night there is usually a meet and greet that is not only a lot of fun but includes some great appetizers and entertainment. You don't want to miss the parade down Bourbon street. It may sound silly, but being in the middle of a couple hundred swingers with a police escort stopping traffic and a band is an amazing feeling. The people on the side lines watching the parade have no idea who we are. When they ask what it's all about you should see the shocked look on their faces. Colettes is very crowded on Wednesday night. If it gets too crowded for you, then try playing around on Bourbon street or going back to the hotel where you'll find others who prefer a less crowded party.

In terms of restaurants, there are many to choose from. Personally we never eat on Bourbon Street. Every time we have it's been average food. Bob and Tess spend a lot of time dining out and always have a number of suggestions that are printed in your program. We usually look for restaurants that are crowded with locals, and not necessarily the ones that are famous. This event is so packed with things to do that you really have to make time in your schedule to eat! That may sound crazy but it's true. You don't have to do everything!

Look forward to meeting everyone in Nawlins. This is the lifestyle event of the year!

Questions - I know one night is at Colettes . . . but the other nights. . . are they at the hotel? Is it BYOB at the hotel? Bring your own mixes too? I figure at the bar takeovers it will be a cash bar just like any other place. Help the newbies out and take us . . . .under your wing . .. under the table... what ever is easy.

We are hitting the Acme Oyster Co. Its right across the street from the hotel. Checking the Food Network for good places. We like Guy Fieris DDD. So we are checking out some of those places he has gone to. Coyote Ugly isnt far . . we are hitting that bar. (Did NOT mean to rhyme) I emailed the hotel. They have some awesome ideas for things to do and places to eat. We are trying not to plan too much. We dont want the whole time we are there to be on a schedule. Our idea is to pick 3-4 places we want to go to and then see where the trip takes us! Hope this helps! FYI - Awsome room to be in . . . .ours. Will let yall know where it is when we get there! LOL

Thank you Bob. Yes, we are expecting limited amount of rooms available by now. We booked the whole package including dinner because we like the interaction with others during dinner. Still we have no great expectation about hotel cuisine. We haven't been in New Orleans after Katrina but we understand there must be many new places to dine worth exploring. Does anyone have any suggestions about that? We have been to several lifestyle conventions and conclaves in the past so we understand about seminars, vendors and so on. Is it anything there which we shouldn't miss? We hope to provoke people to discussion. After all Naughty in Nawlins must be our favorite event... if we are all going there. :=D Regards Matt & Eva
