Hello... Yes...we did swim out onto the beach at Pearl. Under the surf was just as sandy as the beach was... The beach sand is Beautiful white and fluffy... It is maintained daily!!

Not to “steal” anyone’s post – Pearl has more foot traffic from other resorts than does Desires. We did “cover up” when we slept on the beach and went closer to the water. Can’t tell you about the need for water shoes, we did not go “in” too deep. Sand on beach was deep (lots).

Glad to here this! I have a few questions about the beach. How is the sand? Is it walkable? Do you need water shoes in the water? Can you be naked without onlookers from other resorts staring?

We've just returned from Desire Pearl yesterday and are happy to share with all our Lifestyle friends on SLS that our vacation experiences at the resort can be be said in just one EXCELLENTE' ! First and foremost.. The Staff is what makes or breaks a resort to be successful or not.. Not to be disappointed..In true Desire fashion all of the staff was amazing to say the least!! The venue and grounds are impeccable with more than enough lounges and beach beds around the huge pool and beach... Our room was an Ocean View Suite which overlooked the beach with balcony, very quiet and relaxing yet very close to the amenities of the resort! The food is definitely a notch up from Desire Riviera Maya...delicious and served with a gourmet flavor and ambiance to the restaurants with outside dining or in. The "Pearl " restaurant next to the lobby is a must do..you will be impressed believe me! Every evening began with enjoying Happy Hour in the hot tub , which is huge and at ground level ( no stairs to climb!!! ) with the other guests which were comprised mostly of professionals kicking back from their careers and demands at home. Everyone enjoyed meeting new friends in the Lifestyle with what seemed like a 60/40 percentage of experienced to the accepting curious. The spacious area of the hot tub allowing for private pda moments , conversation and groups laughing and having raucous fun as well !! Each night during dinner the sounds of a different live band played in the lobby with drinks and dancing...then to the excellent vegas style live shows in the disco with a DJ and more dancing to club songs to follow! We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation to Desire Pearl and have already planned for our return soon..
