Hi Power - if you decide to go to Desire Pearl then be sure not to use everything up! We are going the week after you might be there. We went to Desire a few years ago. It was probably only 1/2 full so there weren't that many people. That being said it was a fun and interresting visit. Wherever you go hope you have a good time.

Given the choice between Hedo and Desire Pearl, we take Pearl hands down. With Pearl you skip the hour and a half ride to the resort, indigestion for your entire stay, and the old dated rooms/resort. We just got back from Pearl with the resort about 80% capacity but we loved it and had a great time. There were plenty couples there to connect with if you're approachable and they provide a shuttle to the old Desire every two hours until 10pm, so you almost get two resorts for the price of one. For us it's a no brainer. You pay too much for your vacation not to get your money's worth. Hope this helps.

Trying to decide between Hedoism and Desire Pearl in July. Desires is a new resort with more amenities but it looks like a quiet week when we can go. Hedo is older, fewer dining choices but there is a group going during the same time. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
