Thanks for the update Powder, we were booked into Pearl for October but decided to go back to RM, you have confirmed our decision was correct. The energy of the resort is in the couples, no couples = no "vibe." J&B

Just back from RM....we did spend a day at Pearl, and it absolutely beats RM as a place of beauty. From the physical plant alone, we would never go back to the original resort. BUT............there is no vibe there.....and we have doubts as to if they could ever get it, even if they sold out. Everything being bigger and nicer (i.e. pool & hot tub). We were told they had 42 of their 88 rooms booked, but on our wandering around checking it out, we might have seen 18-20 couples, and several of those were like us visiting from the other resort. We left the hot tub at almost six to head back to RM, and when the 8 of us got out it cut the tub's occupancy in half. And after reading a few posts here, forget the shuttle y'all! When we checked in, we also were told that the Pearl shuttle would be ending in September.......

When we were at RM last spring we met a great couple who was at Pearl. They came by shuttle but would miss the last trip back to Pearl. They would grab a cab after food at 3 am. About $20 US.

"Let's hope it full! I don't mind the shuttle but at night, if we meet some people , it may be difficult getting back late. "
