that being said, seems a bit odd for people to travel to a clothing optional resort then remain clothed 99% of the time.... what is the attraction to go???

when we were there (October), the place seemed more a nudist place with a touch of swinger... almost everyone we met were not swingers... im sure this varies weekly...

Livewire...just remember to get a high quality, waterproof sunscreen for your scars. Even if you are wearing a top, the sun is intense down there and can penetrate. We just got back a couple of weeks ago from another CO resort in Riviera Maya. It was our first time ever at one. We LOVED it and everyone is correct in saying that within 5 minutes, no one notices that you are nude. Although it was a little disconcerting the first time I saw a naked man in the omlette line! They are also right in that there are different levels of coverage during the day. Most cover below the waist when eating. Or more in the cool mornings. Relax and enjoy...no one judges.

Thank you all for the positive posts. I've even gotten emails from some of you that were super encouraging. Our little trip, scheduled for January 17-20, cannot get here soon enough. :-)

DITTOS on what everyone else said. No one will give you a hard time about wearing a top or bottome or suit. There is no "nude side" or "prude side". Desire promotes itself as clothing optional! Even nudie couples put on, and take off a certain amount of clothing, throughout the day, depending upon the sun, etc. No one cares and no one stares!

you might want to tan nude before you go in case you change your mind when you get there

You'll be fine. At every resort trip we've seen a few men and women that don't go naked during the day. There is no pressure toward conformity. We were apprehensive the first time we went, but 10 minutes into the first day and we've wanted to go naked ever since, why wait for the moon when the sun feels so good? Cheers.

and we love being nude all day.....do what feels comfortable....

You'll be fine. We swing but don't take our stuff off at the pool. No big deal.

Jerolim- I had breast surgery and have scars that cannot get sun exposure or risk never having them fade. We like the lifestyle aspect of the resort and hope to have fun while we're there. We selected Desire because of it's more laid back, open minded clientele. I hope other's won't judge us as prudes but honestly, it's our vacation and we intend to have fun regardless what other's think about us.
