We live in CA but usually cruise out of Miami which getting to in itself is a big trip. We've seen cruises out of Long Beach in LA down to Mexico but have heard some horror stories about how rough the Pacific ocean can get. Can we get some reviews of the vanilla West Coast cruises? what it like ocean wise? What are the ships like? What are they like LS wise onboard? (since they are all vanilla) Motion sickness wise we've found the little electronic wrist zapper watches (Emeterm) do solve the problem but would prefer to not have to wear them the entire trip.
We realize that the Caribbean has more interesting variety of destinations but to be honest we've cruised the usual countries there so much that now we are happy to just stay on the ship most of the time.
