There is something called SeaBand that is supposed to help with seasickness before it happens. Check your local pharmacy. "The Sea-Band Ltd 'Sea Band' is indicated for the relief of nausea. Nausea is a symptom that may be experienced due to a variety of causes, for example: Travel/Motion, Pregnancy (Morning Sickness), Chemotherapy, Post Operative. Sea-Band for morning sickness: Sea-Band has proven effective in clinical trials for the relief of Morning Sickness and because it doesn't use drugs, there are no side effects. Sea-Band for travel sickness: Sea-Band provides effective relief from all forms of Travel Sickness without causing drowsiness or other side effects. Sea-Band for other sickness: Sea-Band has also been found to be effective in other conditions that produce nausea such as anaesthesia and chemotherapy and are used in hospitals throughout the world."

On a modern cruise ship you won't find any cabins below the waterline available for paying passengers. Deck 2 is about as low as you can go as a guest and that's usually to board or get on a shuttle. The area that will move the least, theoretically, is a cabin on a middle deck, say 4 or 5 and as close to the middle of the ship as you can be. That's in theory. From a practical standpoint a modern cruise ship is stabilized to reduce or eliminate pitching. Unless the weather is very rough or you are beating into the gulf stream you won't feel a thing. If it's rough out then any deck you are on is going to move. Most folks don't get sick in the cabins. They get sick in a compartment such as a restaurant or bar. Why I don't know but that's my experience. Also the bow of the ship, imo, moves a lot, so if you are in a theatre up front you may feel something. Go to your doc and get a scopamine patch and put it behind the ear. It's nearly 100% effectice and doesn't make you tired. Also buy some candied ginger from a candy shop. That will stop seasickness dead in it's tracks. I've chewed that on offshore fishing trips in 30' boats, where everyone heaved at least once and it's always worked.
