BYOB is a great way to save money on a night out. BYOB is always a question for some. They don't want to pay a donation to go to a club and get free mixers and all the amenities that the club offers, but will attend a Meet and Greet at a local bar where they pay $4.50 for a beer and $6.50 for a drink.

An $8 bottle of whiskey replaces a $75 drink tab and most clubs do accept tips. Some clubs, not ours, sell their set-ups for a small fee. Others charge a smaller cover charge and then soak you on the set-ups, charging as much as $3 for a cup of ice. We believe in less work for everyone by charging a donation to get in the door and then put the money away for everyone. No charge for mixers, no tips, no nada!

I would recommend that you avoid bringing coolers to a club as they present problems with people tripping over them and the water that seems to surround them as drinks are removed. Most bars, including ours, have commercial coolers to keep your cold drinks, such as beer. And most have ice machines, saving you the problem of the ice and cooler altogether.

But, be aware that even BYOB clubs, like Dante's Passion, must abide by the rules. Here in Texas all alcohol must be cleared from the premises of the club by 2:00 a.m., which means that although the party may continue, the bottles must go to the car.

Most clubs allow you to bring anything you want. Most of them have a well stocked bar of mixers and a bartending staff. Your bring the liquor, and they do the rest.
