Since it's nearly the same question, I'll say that, In the "Men Talk" forum, the question was posed, "Why are so many men bi-curious," or something very near that, I believe, and I responded there with the following, and I hope it helps you to at least some degree:

I believe we might far more accurately ask, "Why not?" You might want to sit down with pencil & paper and make a list of pros and cons, as you see them now, with your apparent lack of experience. Can you truly find any valid intellectual argument against bisexual play? (And please note that this will, by definition, exclude religious strictures.) I find what appears to be an increase in bi curiosity in men of middle age and above, and I believe this is the result of reaching a point where their maturity allows them to realize that they have nothing to prove to anyone at this point in their lives, which leaves them free to pursue all sorts of questions in life, doesn't it? In addition, the fuller intellect that is fed by longer experience, leads them to question themselves and their previously-held views and opinions on any number of things; not the least of which would be their sexuality, since it is such a large part of who we actually are - as opposed to who (or what) others perceive us to be. I have to believe that, in the end, right before that final breath, we will not be reflecting back on all that (and those) we have done, but rather recalling all that and those we haven't. And the ultimate question will be..."Why not?" Just look back right now, and I'll bet you can easily find any number of things you either haven't tried, or waited far too long to try - and are still asking yourself, "Really now, what the hell kept/is keeping me, from it?" Finally, shouldn't you have first asked yourself the question you've posed to others here? Never ask someone else to do your thinking for you, or you'll never have a mind of your own. And just think of all the pleasures and knowledge you've denied yourself.

maybe they simply figured out that if the lights were off they wouldn't know if a woman or man was sucking their cock?? It's so silly to think mouths are different base on gender:-)))

This is why I love the fact that I'm a Millennial. With all due respect, my generation has become FAR more accepting of non-heterosexuals, making it far easier NOT to deny our sexual orientations, like myself. It also gives me hope for the future of the swinging community. Hopefully in ten or so years the whole bi male bias will start to diminish, and when that happens, more guys will announce that they're bi/curious more younger, in the end making it easier for everyone.

I agree with Looking. I think many, if not most, men, as teenagers or young men, had a homoerotic experience (or near-experience) with a buddy or older bi/gay man before they had an experience with a girl. For many, this experience stays with them into adulthood. The guys who enjoyed it likely will return to it or fantasize about it later in life, despite being predominantly heterosexual.

There are also many men (as well as women) who are naturally curious and adventurous, always seeking new sexual experiences...many of these men and women have swinging and bi sex at the top of their list, especially if their sex lives with spouses/significant others are or have been dull or infrequent.

I also believe that many barriers and taboos to same-sex sex have been reduced over the years through the gay/lesbian liberation movements and the proliferation of online porn.

I think most men over 50 probably had a bi experience 35 years ago and enjoyed it when it happened. It just took them that long to admit it. Most men are turned on by a hard cock.

I believe that as men get older, the testosterone levels drop and maybe this allows some men to explore their fem side. Maybe not! I have been bi forever so it may not apply but I do know that older men are often more secure with their sexuality.

Well I was a straight 8, homophobic with no interest or thought of dick, just gals. I love to eat and enjoy going down on a gal. I met this couple while on a business trip when I was 25 and they suduced me into bi and loved it ever since. Wow it was all some. The first time I touched a dick I melted the rest is history and have no regrets. I'm trying to form a bi bike riders group and go from there or meet with more for bi partys.

Essentially, I'm with bi4cumsucking. Tired of chasing pussy for very little thrill or reward.

That said, I lucked into a great woman after I had basically given up on trying to find one...but she's 10 years younger than me and still very sexually oriented. Men just don't seem to lose that, at least by my age, but women do.
