User Details are only visible to members.	Bicple summed it up perfect. Our main interest is single guys. And of those we prefer ones that are mildly bi friendly. So thats why we list like we do. To attract them when they are searching. If our main interest were couples. Then we would probably list me (the guy) as straight because listing as bi, no matter how mild and unrequired, does scare some off.

User Details are only visible to members.	That's my point, you just did give full disclosure by posting in here, which pretty much negates any reason for not listing that way. SLS gives only two options for orientation, bi & straight. Problem is that most of us are somewhere in between, eg oral only. I Know that most guys who play bi occasionally consider themselves to be more straight than bi, and I do not consider it lieing for them to list as straight. This is an old argument, and we've been called liars by both sides, I'm lieing to list straight becauase I'm open to oral with guys, and I'm lieing to list as bi because I won't do anal. SLS could fix all this by letting us describe our orientations, instead of picking one of two labels. Or by adding a "somewhere in between" lable or two. We are "situationally adaptable". Meaning, we are straight when we play with straight people, bi when we play with bi people, and we adapt accordingly when we play with those that are somewhere in between.

I understand that starting off on the premise of being straight but actually being bi is a poor start but what is there to say when I'm looking for a start

I understand why bi men list as straight but it still is a red flag. We dont always exclude "straight" listing guys. But it does take a lot more consideration to overcome the fact that their very first introduction to us is a lie. No matter what the reason.
