| We recently received an e-mail from a west coast couple saying that they saw our profile on the main start-up page as a Featured Member? I've never signed up to be a feature member and our external profile is turned off? Is it possible that this happened or is this couple making it up? |

Specifically Mark, there are no single male featured members at all. Not just I...
So, what's your next vague rebuttal? |

And the discrimination against single males being "featured members" on the home log in page continues...

"I logged out of my account last night and kept hitting the refresh button on my browser."
I'm also planning to do that some night soon. Can't wait to see my profile featured. |

I got this from Billing profile yesterday: "You're Featured Member entry was approved, or was reviewed and reapproved and should start rotating through the logon page shortly." It came as an automated message. Well, nice grammar fail on the person that programmed the automated response in the first place. It should be 'your,' not "you're" in this instance.
I logged out of my account last night and kept hitting the refresh button on my browser. Yes, there were plenty of couple's and single female profiles. But, there was a common theme going on. Not one profile came up as a single male profile. So, let's see if persistence pays off. |

Is there discrimination against single males from becoming "featured members?"
I signed up to be a featured member a long time ago and never got any type of response about it. Now, having redone my request on 12-21-2001 to become a featured member, I'm also making public light about it. So, again I ask, is there discrimination against single males from becoming "featured members?" Rob |

Another way they could have seen the profile is through the Mini Search.
This enables people who have not yet joined the site to do a search in their area. You can Opt Out of being included in that feature on the Tools menu. I wasn't even aware of the feature until a brand new member emailed us today, telling us they'd seen our profile through a search, BEFORE they joined. Actually their words were "your profile showed up as a Featured Member when we did our search before we joined". S |
