Rather than an "age" field that has to be manually updated, how about adding a birthday field and just have the site do the math. You don't need to display the birthday to the public, just use it to calculate the age.
Or at the very least a birth year field. |

We've suggested that the site "age" everyone one year on January 1st. It won't stop people from changing their profiles and getting younger, but you can't stop that now.
