Are yahoo groups considered a newsgroup? We have placed a link in a swing group that we are active in but if it is not allowed we will gladly remove it!

There are several ways to use the affiliate program. The two main ways are:
1) with a link that includes the signup=yourusername 2) a direct link to your external profile. The first method is more obvious, in that your affiliate info is provided via the link, we create a cookie from that. In the second method, we create the same cookie, but our servers have to decipher the affilate info by the sub-domain. We take care of that at the server level. All you need to know is that we take care of it behind the scenes. |

Use your External profile. From tools you can activate your external profile and modify it. Change the text to be search engine friendly and post your external profile as your home page. People that visit your external profile, directly, are automatically assigned to you.

If you have a yahoo, msn or some other profile somewhere. See if they allow you to post a url to your home page or favorite links. You can use your SLS external profile as your home page and/or a link to SLS as a favorite link.
If you use email to communicate with other swingers, you can add a link at the bottom of that email, as a signature, so long as the email is not sent out in bulk or for the sole purpose of promoting the site. If you frequent other sites that have forums and you often post to them, you could add a link as your signature, better yet, add a link to your external profile. |
