Sounds like a scam to me. Don't understand why you'd say not to contact someone without certs, pics or especially free members. Hear it a lot. The couples we've met in person here had none of the above and turned out to be real people. We stay off for long periods at a time. If/when we strike up an interest will pay for a few months, but not on a lot so usually are free till someone contacts we find an interest in.

DFWCPL,

We say in our profile that we don't give certs or accept certs, so we agree with that portion of your comment. We don't, however, want the cert system to go away. While we've never contacted anyone because of their certs, we have avoided contacting people because of the certs they have.

Where we'd say you're wrong is that long term members may be no better than new ones. First, look carefully at profiles of members who have been here a while. Many such profiles haven't been updated since they were first written (as long as 7 years ago); they are the one sentence answers to the first two essays. Sadly, even paid and lifetime members have profiles that they clearly haven't ever updated beyond those two sentences. Many of these are people who appear only to want to fantasize, not meet.

Second, a lifetime membership is a great value here, and is hardly beyond the means of people with ulterior motives. If you want to screw with real swingers for the rest of your life, you can do so at a very reasonable price.

We've been on here for 11 years with no certs. It just isn't something we like. Plus the email system, along with a lot of the site is flaky as hell. Why would you beware of someone who's been in for years? Especially a Lifetime member?

No, she was not real. Probably a married guy with a free profile and no certs posing as a woman. When you're new it's a good idea to block free members and not to chat with anyone you haven't met in person. If anyone tries to lure you off site or asks for pics through gmail or yahoo, it's a big red flag. Beware of members that have been on several years and still don't have any certs, and keep communication down to just what's necessary to set up a meeting in person and you'll weed out most of the fakes and flakes. Welcome to the fora!
