Clearly ya gotta have something going before you say "Ok lets invite some single guys. As the guest list moves closer and closer to a high single male count the attendees become rougher and rougher (hairier and dirtier) as well as more and more prone to same sex play (bi or gay). Perhaps ok with you but it never was our goal. Eventually (just a half dozen parties or so) the event was cancelled because it didn't seem to be anyone else's goal either.

Bexar, I think that's a great idea too. At least in the Atlanta metro, single guys are discouraged from ever attending anything via ridiculously high entrance fees or simply blocked from attending. It'd be a great way in a safe and sane atmosphere with no immediate expectations to find out who's real and who's not. I know back in Austin the GWNN did exactly that for "swingles" to find out more about the Lifestyle. It made for a great icebreaker.
Problem is, a single guy isn't going to get any attendance if he organizes it (ok, just single guys), so it'd definitely have to be a group of couples to kick it off... |

I would suggest finding a few other couples and scheduling an open invitation Meet & Greet at a local pub or location of your choosing. In the San Antonio area, this is done once a month or so. Nothing but a social event, but you can probably get a feeling about the singles...the inconsiderates don't show and the idiots stand out.

Our best luck has been meeting single guys at parties that allow extra single guys. I mean think about it. There are no "no shows", no email issues, you see what you get before you get it. It's been our answer to the issue.
NEVERTHELESS we continue the never ending search, and from time to time we find someone special. It's all worth the work. Curt n Jane |

Interesting topic. We've been running into the same thing. Twice in the last week we've had SM's contact us wanting to meet so we reply and get nothing! WTF they emailed us first and go away after we reply, makes no sense at all.

Funny Bright - Welcome to the Fora.
As a single male, we have the toughest part of the LS. We can and do find couples (and hopefully single females) in the LS from this site. It is likely easier at a club or event, but basically it's not easy. Keep at it, stay positive, do what you know is right and proper and eventually it'll click. |

Interesting exchanges. Got to say that I have been on the site for a while now and the lack of courteous effort to respond to emails is disheartening. We are all adults (I hope) and life is short and as many of you indicated very busy. So just do it or don't. I am a good looking and funny guy who is personable. Can't understand why I haven't hooked up with a couple or experienced single woman. Part of me believes that non one really hooks up here and couples and singles get off by flirting with the idea. These can be beautiful and respectful encounters... advice or a date would be welcome...

Try being the lone male in a open marriage.
She's got two boy friends she can tag at any given time and I sit and get slammed by couples or single ladies cause I'm cheating....yea I'm cheating alright...NOT but that's the way we are treated.. Cant go to house parties with out looking like the shark even though I dont do things like that at all. I dont hoover ladies, I dont circle my pry...but still no matter what I'm looked at that way...Yep great fun! |
