Then when someone contacts us first and we agree to meet somewhere they vanish in thin air, and quit answering e-mail. There sure seems to be lots of time and effort spent these days avoiding one another. I almost wish the net and cell phones would go away and we'd have to go back to actually getting out and making friends.

If they'd ignored you, you'd never have known how rude they could get and might have run into them at a party somewhere. If they hadn't blocked you, you could send them a nice thank-you note expressing your gratitude at their helpfully removing themselves from your lives. :-) Don't you suppose they'd be frosted? ROFL. User Details are only visible to members.	A simple reply of "Not interested" is the least one can do in reply to an email. I am sorry, but there is no reason to be rude. I understand how one can be frustrated by a person who emailed without obviously reading your profile. Frankly, even then as "Not Interested" reply should be sufficient. Real folks will simply make a note on your profile, and walk away. Jerks can easily be blocked.

User Details are only visible to members.	Yeah, there are a lot of rude people in the lifestyle and no, it doesn't make any sense. If you are really and truly wanting to have sex with a variety of people (and that is what Swinging is really about) then you have to be friendly and know how to sell and present yourself. Which means you need social skills. Which some "swingers" are lacking in. Personaly I have noticed two different phenomena when it comes to people who CLAIM to be swingers but don't seem to be doing a whole lot. In the fake department there are two dead giveaways. Number one is the person bragging about how horny they are, how they dont' care about appearance, yatta, yatta, yatta. The other is the person with nearly impossible standards. In regards to the first type, with one exception everybody I ever contacted or who contacted me with a profile like that turned out to be a phony. IE when I said, 'yeah, I am interested" they no-showed, disseapeared off the internet or in my favorite example, changed their profile the next day, LOL... I think with those types of folks, swinging is just a fantasy and they are not ready to make the fantasy a reality. I also notice most of those types don't have any photos in their profiles either. In regards to the other type, if you are some dude in a rural town and you have convinced your wife, "yeah baby, were swingers, but you can only hump a guy with an eight or nine inch johnson, because anything less you allready got at home" - you pretty much have ensured that you don't have to share your ole lady with another man. Most guys in the lifestyle (or anyplace else) don't have that kind of equipment. If they did, they would be appearing in porn movies. That's reality. Honestly, there are a lot of people floating around in the lifestyle who have no business there. Especially people who have jealousy issues. Various 'swappers" I have met over the years who think they have to keep score come immediatly to mind. Just keep looking and eventually you will find some wonderful partners. Look at the bright side, at least you GOT a response, even if it was a negative one.

But here's a story that might make you feel better. At a Meet & Greet we saw a couple confront another couple that had blew them off on SLS. The pompus couple was so rattled by this that it made them feel out of place within the group and they soon departed. So....I guess there is some justice in the world.

Being new to the site you have to realize that not everyone reads their emails asap, nor do they answer them that fast. I agree you have to say more than just hi. As stated in our profile we do not answer emails such as that. Just because you think your hot doesnt mean other people see you that way. Attitude is everything. Good Luck and welcome to SLS.
