I understand your post. But when just scrolling the "who's on" feature, pics do attract a second glance and a read through of a profile. A great tagline is good, but some sort of interesting public picture makes me stop scrolling and read further. Even the really ugly ones...I think it's that "gawking at a car wreck" societal phenomenon...you just have to click and see if the other pics are as bad, and what someone has to say about himself/herself if they dare to put up really horrendous pics. That said, thanks for the compliment of the recent shot...I never know if our pics have appeal or not, but they must based on the responses that come and go. It's not so much a generational thing, Gina, as a principle thing. Web sites are not safe. And there is FAR too much public surveilance going on, and the ability to track and identify via automated cameras is downright scary - at least to anyone who understands the technology and actually cares about freedom, independence, and privacy. (BTW, Gina, that is a very alluring pic you posted with your post) I simply do not put face pictures on web-sites. Period. I've said this in another thread, people who wish to do everything on this site are the ones who are hiding and acting in a shady manner. Web-mail addresses are free and easy to get, even if you only use it once and dump it. So if people can't be arsed to grab and use a free, anonymous, email to get my pictures (which I will GLADLY email, as that's far more direct and not lingering around on a web-accessible server), then that makes me wonder what's up with them. And I'll go futrther, I'll even give my Yahoo IM, something I can NOT just dump on a whim as too many people I chat too have that info, in an email to someone in an effort to facilitate pic exchange (for THEM). Heck, I'd even be willing to give my phone number. So understand (OP and everyone who thinks in a similar fasihion), we're not hiding. We just have a different set of principles. If I was "hiding", I would not give out information and accounts which are hard for me to change, to the contrary, I'd try doing everything on this site and this site alone. ;) And on a side thought, if you (the OP) are referring to profiles with no picture at all, it may be that they don't have a good camera, a good pic, or simply get bombarded (this is especially true for female profiles) and want to stay out of the searches a litte so that they can sift through and find people that they want to meet. You aren't here to find the loves of your lives, no, clearly not. However, you are here to have fun, right? I haven't been in this lifestyle very long (only since about 06), but I have found that one night stands, and sex sessions with people I really can't connect with to be not very fun at all. On the contrary, sex with people that I DO really connect with is a heck of a LOT of fun. And not only that, we tend to want to meet again, and the second time around we can all be even more comfortable and know better what the other wants. Not to mention having the (strong) possibility of making friends for things OTHER than strictly sex (and that's fun too, though not a requirement of the above by any stretch). So ultimately, the profile's content should be more important than the pics. Find someone you seem compatible with and be "impulsive", have some fun taking a little "chance" and meet them, have a drink, some conversation, and see how it goes. You may surprise yourself more often than you might think. What's the worst that happens? You don't click with them? Ok.....and? You still got out, did something a little unusual, got to meet new people and have some conversation, and depending on where and when you do this, that can easily be parlayed into a fun night out for just you if it doesn't work, or with your new friends if it does. This whole lifestyle is all about having fun and making life as a whole more enjoyable. That's very heavily a mindset on your part too. With the right mindset you can have fun at this no matter what happens with others (that you meet).

For us, it has to do more with his occupation, and with me, it's out of respect for him that we do not post public face pictures with any real recognition. We have plenty of private and gallery pics, and when we feel comfortable with someone, we gladly open those up. I'm seeing that most people "our age" obscure their faces in public pics, so maybe it's a generational thing. I admire the profiles with face pics, but for us, it's a personal choice. We have nothing to "hide," but something to potentially lose by showing faces for anyone and everyone to see. We look exactly like our pics, and they are always updated. We keep a few favorites on our profile from a year or two ago, but most of our pics are very current. Yours are very nice.
