People dont read profiles, they look at a pic or two and decide shit its worth a shot..although I have been told, Yes they read the profile and thought they would take a chance..lol I dont know what makes them think its the lottery...

looking ~ I was on here as a single for awhile and NOLA is a high tourist area, too. No matter what you put in your profile, you're going to get emails from visitors. Be it that they don't read your profile or do and think that they'll be the exception ~ you're going to get them. I swear ~ I kept my profile as free for ages just to keep my from responding to people that sent me stupid stuff. LOL! Ignore, ignore, ignore. ;)

Hi looking! I agree ~ while you say that you prefer to meet local people only and to *me* it's pretty clear, there are going to be tons of people that think they WILL be the one's that you'll make an exception for ~ even tho you don't say that there will be exceptions. When I joined, I was a single bi female. It was important to me that I have a postive, happy profile, but there were things that were deal breakers w/ me. It took about two months to finally tweak it so that it was what I wanted and still made the things that I wasn't interested in clear. Keep working at it. I know that you're getting plenty of mail to help you see where the gaps are. LOL! As for this one ~ maybe say that you only meet local couples. Leave out the "prefer." Play up that lasting friendship is important to you and that you don't see that developing with people that are just passing thru town. Or be a little funny about it. The last line in our profile has been there since I joined and got TONS of IM's. It cut down on them significantly and a lot of people think it's funny. You're in Vegas ~ there have to be a million ways to reference that you aren't the jackpot for out of towners. Good luck!

Although, when reading your profile, I got the impression you are open to meeting out of towners...only says you *prefer* local couples, not very clear that you don't have any interest in visitors. Maybe members are reading your profile after all, just unintentionally getting the wrong message :) I can only imagine how many email offers you are getting being a swinging single female in Vegas!
