We do pay more attention to profiles with a certification or two. This tells us that they at least are serious enough to have met some other folks. We have been stood up (particularly by SMs) too many times. Paying attention to certs eliminated this problem. If we missed playing with some great people because of this, that is a risk we are willing to take.

We do read validations (certifications) just to see where we fit in with the person's preferences. If they have 10 certifications and all ten are people we are NOTHING like, then we might think twice before contacting them, as we wouldn't think they'd be interested. Other than that, we will certainly get together with people who have zero certs or 20. What matters most is what the person says about himself. We have met a great guy who became part of a hot 3some with us, and he was also a guy who traveled a lot. It didn't just happen overnight either, we spent time getting to know the guy and met him out for dinner, drinks, etc., a couple times first. He was gracious, a gentleman, funny, and also had a great commeradarie with my husband, which is probably one of the most important things you can do as a single. He was a guy we'd be friends with in other circumstances, just a decent dude in public, and in private, skilled and a lot of fun. Good luck to you, and keep in mind that there are not many couples who will quickly entertain a traveling solo player. So you have to offer that extra edge of being an all around great guy. Gina

We don't normally include single men, a couple bad experiences turned me off to it, but when we consider one, validations don't usually play a role in the process. (We're not big on seeking validations, either.) We look at other several p-factors (Paid membership? Pictures available? Profile content? Pushiness? Penis bragging?) before making a decision. Being real (genuine and honest) in your profile is the biggest plus factor, and your profile has that down to a T as we see it :)
