New photos are on their way but they still haven't been approved yet. I guess the reviewers have been enjoying their weekend rather than labouring through a ton of photos. Some people just don't have their priorities sorted ;-P

I'm surprised that you think I am telling anyone is is ok to offend, maybe I didn't realize that putting @ in front of a name when addressing them was offensive. I frequently post "lol@SoAndSo". Is that really against netiquette? I am asking in all seriousness because I see other forums where it is common and accepted that when addressing a previous poster, they use "@". It sounded like you were posting an opinion, am I to understand now that it is always offensive to use @ when referring to a previous poster?

Hi AEIB, and welcome to the forums : ) In reading over your profile, the only part I would change up a little is the first section "We Are Looking For." What you have written is a little too generic. Check out some other single male profiles (ones that have a lot of certs) for some ideas...but this section should contain how you are looking to play - ok with playing on first meet, or taking your time....what kind of venue (drinks, dancing, dinner, etc.). I like the rest of your profile - you sound intelligent and definitely have a sense of humor : ) As far as uploading pics, ours generally are approved within the hour, but if it's on the weekend sometimes it can take longer. Honestly, the black and white pic does look like an older pic, so I'm glad you're uploading new ones (preferably a full body shot, neck down). You are HWP, which is tough to find, so show it off! Lastly, hopefully you can attend a meet and greet in your area, which is a great way to obtain some certs. I don't think you'll have any trouble in this area. You sound very sweet and considerate, and I have to agree with April - love those abs! Best wishes! Kat

AEIB, there is no proper etiquette, just people who have opinions about how they want things done here. I know the use of "@" is commonplace in many forums so don't worry about offending any long-standing members. As with most things, there is no right or wrong, only preferences.

My only advice (as a fellow SM) is to continue what you are already doing, be polite and respectful without being whiny. As you peruse these fora, you will find many threads on SM profiles and their behavior. Take what works for you and ignore the rest.

I don't actually use Twitter. The @name is just something I've picked up from other forums. It's origins might actually precede Twitter. (Maybe)

However, if that isn't how things are done around here then I will refrain from its use (see above)

It is little things like these that can cause unnecessary irritation to the long standing members, which is the last thing I want. And so thank you for pointing it out.

Is there a general etiquette guide somewhere on this site. I haven't seen one.
