We see it as a class thing, Same as we say we are a working class country couple.

We viewed a "professional couple" as a couple that was paired together only for sex in the LS. i.e.- they are only in the business of doing the business.

I see the words professional couple in a profile as just another descriptor on par with tall, muscular, intelligent, or any of the other words used to describe oneself. I don't see it as describing affluence. I see it as this person is gainfully employed doing something they enjoy, that's it. Just like someone who says they are avid hikers or bike riders.

I am thinking that is the implication. As if white collar types make better sex partners? I have always guessed they state that as a not so subtle way of saying they prefer the finer things and if you can't afford a decent bottle of wine at a nice restaurant, don't bother contacting them.

I guess they could say they are an "amateur couple". LOL
I hate when couples promote themselves as a "successful professional couple". As in the opposite of non-successful professional couples? :) To me...when people say "professional couple", they usually mean they have white-collar jobs. Maybe true, maybe not. I don't know. |

LOL, we're with you. Don't have any idea what "professional" means in the lifestyle. Checked our profile and sure enough it was in there, an artifact of endless profile revisions. We actually have "white collar" jobs but are not sure how that translates into good sex.
