I wonder how many hours those with no photos spend pouring over photos of others? I wonder how many people they contact with profiles that contain no photos ? We don't put ourselves in the postion of having to ask for photos ; we won't waste time getting to know people via the computer ,emailing back and forth to discover later there is no attraction. Sure we might miss out on some terrific people but that's a chance we'll take just as those with no photos are going to miss out on a lot of wonderful people. I also find it completely insulting to be asked to "meet" anyone who hasn't provided photos . They've reviewed our gallery and were given the opportunity to see that we met their preference we should have the same opportunity. If you don't have photos posted please stop viewing ours; that's cheating !!!!! If I coud I block them all until they had photos too. Mrs Sav

People be real have up to date pics not 10, 5 or even two yr old pics.

When you do finally agree to meet someone and your not whom you lead others to believe your not only wasting your time but theirs.

I don't mind if all the pictures are private. And I can understand the desire for privacy, after all I have personally viewed at least two profiles of people that I know. And that is after I saw their face picture on the home page. BUT, I also agree that ensuring that the people you are talking to are attractive to you is important. I have been disappointed to find that the person I"ve been talking to is not attractive to me (more because when I met him he reminded me of my ex, they say everybody has a double) If I had been able to see a picture of him, I would have been able to let him down easy BEFORE convo got interesting and we made it to a meet. It also, imo, seems to me that those without pictures and requesting you to email are often the ones that email to death. I don't want to waste my time with them.

Gamer- it seems to us those claiming open-mindedness are some of the most closed-minded people on here :( They are that which they they dislike. Reminds me of the anecdote where our neighbor to the great white north pointed out, several years back, that we are (as a nation) a terrorist state by our own definition. But I digress. We agree with you about face pics and lack thereof. Nobody owes anyone any excuses for their reasoning. The only thing we would really like to see with every profile is at least a g-rated picture of the member(s), just to get an idea if we are really dealing with the 115# 5'5" female with the 6'0" 175 male they claim. More than once we discovered both to be closer to 300#, one couple even told us they put on a little since starting the profile. (btw, that example was a member only 2 months....unlikely to gain weight so rapidly without a serious health problem!) We would also like to see SLS change the system to not show a member as having pictures when everything is private...presently defeats the with pictures option for searching. Little tweaks, that's all we ask for, nothing requiring more than a month of coding by the programmers, LOL

We've run into several profiles, most being free accounts, giving an email address in the profile with the request (sic) "we have a free profile, can't view pictures, please send them to ...@..... ). Even had one chat us up on the new IM tonight, outright told me it was easier than buying a membership. Are they kidding?

We take it an extra step. If they put external contact info in their profile, against the SLS terms of service, they've demonstrated a disregard for rules and limits set by others...something we don't even want to introduce to our play.

Either way, a polite "no thank you" is the most they get out of us :)

And how tough is it to FOCUS the camera before pushing that little button? We see a lot of pics that actually hurt your eyes if you look at them too long!!

we couldn't agree more. we've been on sls for 4 1/2 years and alot of profiles have the same pics as when we joined. while 4 or 5 years isn't a great length of time, it is long enough that most people's appearance will have changed at least a little and in some cases alot. another thing we don't understand is people who contact us who don't even have pics because they want to be "discrete". then they want to exchange pics using personal emails. what's the difference? makes no sense to us, but I guess some people have to do what they have to.

I understand that the rat race of normal life is hectic, but if anyone has a profile on here then they must have SOME free time. We're all on here for one thing and that's to find people that we're sexually attracted to, as well as mentally stimulated by a couple that we find interesting, through reading their profile. When we create a profile of ourselves, it is a short autobiography of our lives and our personal desires. The idea is to make your profile attract people/couples that you may be interested in. That being said... I've seen profiles that are beautifully choreographed and that make you want and desire every fiber of the couple or person it's referring to. THEN YOU CLICK ON THE PICS. Some profiles have pics on them from the 80s while others are blurry or poorly taken. We don't care what you looked like 30 years ago! We are interested in what you look like now! You wouldn't write a profile describing what you were like in 1988, would you? As for the blurry pics... all cameras have some kind of auto focus or point-and-shoot features so use them to your advantage. Now I know that I'm ranting and that people will say that they don't even have to put pics up and I agree with that. We, in the Lifestyle, need to be honest and up front with the others that we might want to meet and we want to like you for who you are and the beauty you possess. Please don't be shy, put up fresh pics and update them every once in a while just to keep them current. That way we can fall for you even more! :P
