Conservatism isn't entirely about politics, it's also about how one goes about in life...in a conservative manner. There are those who play it "fast and loose" in life and the majority who exist in the middle, yet there are those who are reserved(conservative) in their attire, mannerisms and such in everyday life outside political thought.

Now lets see the other side of the coin. I respect ALL of your great opinions and would love that all swingers would practice this lifestyle the way you do, but let me now share my side... I am one of those profiles that has the following: No Jealousy, NO DRAMA, NO STD's. Why? Due to experiences, many!! I have learned that a FEW need to be to explained things in such detailed.. like if I was talking to Kindergartens, in order for us not to waste our time. Allow me to share some “funny” moments: 1.No Drama/Jealousy: Meet a couple (from this site, who claimed they are experienced swingers) for dinner and drinks. I arrived with my husband to the location where we were meeting. Both couples find each other. We start introducing ourselves. The other wife was noticeably upset eying me up and down. When I went to shake her hand she did not responded to my introduction. Then turn to her husband and slapped her husband so hard. Screaming at him "This is why you wanted to meet them? You like her that much? I can't believe you would do this to me?" that woman stormed out, and husband was visibly embarrassed and speechless. He tried to apologize so many times, until he left to follow her. That was a waste of time for us 2.No STD's: Short story? We meet, we are chatting and Wife informed us that her man had Herpes and forgot to take his pills the entire week, but he had no outbreaks at the moment and asked if that was O.K with us. (ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!) End of meeting at that right moment. And these are just two stories out of many. Specially the Jealousy/Drama scenarios. Oh and about the Pushy people thing...don't make me go there. LOL

catnip ~ I agree. there are things that we just don't put in our profile b/c they really should go w/o saying. In our opinion, if you have something that can't be taken care of w/ some antibiotics, you shouldn't be swinging. And if you do have something that can be taken care of w/ antibiotics, don't play until you are sure that *both* of you are totally clean and re-evaluate what the heck you have been doing that got you in the situation in the first place ~ which leads to another "goes without saying" thing... condoms are a must. We all hate them, but it's part of it.

OK, another one: "we're looking for disease-free"

Really? As opposed to the people who are hoping to acquire a disease?

My personal favorite is the "not Barbie and Ken" thing. It's just overdone. I daydream about finding a profile that says "We ARE Barbie and Ken!" LOL!

Add to the list " good hygiene is a must.". As if there are folks requesting " sexy people with bad hygiene"

The one that drives me crazy is the comment "we are a conservative couple"... Really? Tell us what you want to do? screw or talk politics?

OK, after reading the 789th straight profile with "no drama" being elaborated on, does anyone really think that serves a purpose? Do people really think there will be some drama-prone couples that will say "well I guess we're not for them - let's keep looking for a couple that wants drama"? We get that peoples' profiles are informed by their experiences, and a bad experience can lead to writing stuff like that. At the same time it's pretty important to stay light, fun, and playful. Waxing eloquent about how much people want to avoid drama seems a little... well... melodramatic... :) Anyone else getting tired of reading about that, or do I need to go take a nap and put my cranky pants away?
