How do people feel about exchanging private pictures with profiles that have no certifications? We have a minimal standard for exchange of our face pictures to those that have been certified as a real person/couple by at least one other profile on the site. Doesn't seem like an unreasonable standard given the many problems with meeting strangers over the internet. We've seen angry replies when asking for certifications before opening our private pics and curious if its the way we ask or the fact we're asking? Cheers.

User Details are only visible to members.	Certifications have merit when used as a 'swinging affadavit' for attending a specific event or public encounter. Using them to list past sexual partners is a sure way to trace the origin of infectious diseases. We want only certifications of SLS members we have met at Splash, Mardi Gras, Gasparilla Festival, or Fantasy Fest events. We covet certifications from those we meet at Margaritavilles in Jamaica. Certification woudl be more desireable if they did not include the 'id' of the SLS member, but rather the first name or names of the person or persons doing the certification and the event or venue at which the certification was given. ZZ

User Details are only visible to members.	On sls certs are a weird thing. There are people who never have sex but have 5 certs fromm their really good friends. You wouldn't know that unless you were a regular at the towns these people supposedly play at. I have legit certs but have decided to not give or receive any for a year now. It hasn't stopped me from playing.

User Details are only visible to members.	Certifications seem to hold a lot of wight on here, but unless you know the certifier they are little more than a shot in the dark. First of all no one takes the time to contact someone who issued a cert, and most are so vague they could fit anyone. Even if certs are all genuine and issued by sincere people, that only means they are acquainted with them and perhaps enjoyed them. What would be more beneficial if there were a way to issue negative certs. Someone may be a great guy to three people, but if there are a dozen people who had a really negative experience there is no way to let other know. I met one female who had over thirty certs, but who I believe is literally dangerous. I don't think she is on the site any more but I couldn't have warned people if I wanted to. Obviously all those who certed her didn't see what I saw, so I put little value on certs.

Honestly, to date, we have not had anyone tell us they were not interested due to the fact that we didn't have a cert, but I can assure you that if we did, we would never respond in the manner of the couple in your example. Oh my! We have been very fortunate throughout the years (although it appears we have only been in the lifestyle a short time, we were actually on previously but took a break) and have yet to experience a no-show or have people not be who or what they say they are. Maybe we will feel differently about certs should we have this unfortunate experience in the future.

User Details are only visible to members.	frnzn, Although I certainly respect your preferences, the problem in not accepting at least one cert is that a hottie like you looks too good to be true. As hot as you appear, there are plenty of peeps (me included) who would invest the time to make a connection. But I have a life and time is valuable, so have become more skeptical. Here is an email exchange I just had, with a couple who initially contacted me: From me to them: Thank you for writing, and your proposal sounds very appealing. Please don't take this personally or with any offense, but my experience here has been that free members with no photos and no "certs" almost never want to actually meet. I'm sorry that other games- players have made me so arbitrarily skeptical, and I hope you understand. Best of luck to you. G. Their response to me (just before blocking me LOL): Man, you are a piece of cake! We do not take offense to your remarks; they are not that important to us. But we do take them personally. Really, do you consider that our lack of 'certs' and photos characterize us as being so despicable? Did you ever consider our desire to retain some anonymity until we can establish some rapport with others in this lifestyle. We apologize for bothering you and we do wish you well. In our opinion, you need all the help you can get! Excuse us!

User Details are only visible to members.	We choose to not accept or receive certs...just simply our preference. Nor do we require them for people we are interested in. However, if we got a " no thanks" response from a couple stating that they do require we have certs in order for them to open pics or meet with us, we don't take offense to that, They are entitled to their prreferences as we are ours.

User Details are only visible to members.	What is the purpose of people posting old photo's or Photos' that are not their own. If you meet you will be found out and quickly will be an outcast...We do find it a terrible waste of time when people do that.

User Details are only visible to members.	Agree on not certifying unless you meet someone, isn't that the entire reason for certifications? Still not sure why all the hating on certs? Do some think they are notches on a bed post, after all they don't mean anything except someone met someone else in person. They are minimally helfpful for us, but they are better than nothing.

User Details are only visible to members.	We would not certify anyone that we have not met in person. Then we don't even have to see private photos. We see them in the flesh. Otherwise certs are meaningless. What are they supposed to certify, that you have a SLS account?
