Be sure to include some with you smiling. I know other people won't be able to tell right away how current they are, but as time passes and you add more photos showing an older you, they'll get the idea. When I remember to work with a photo program, I put the date the pic was taken on ours. Some people don't require genital pics and would rather not see them. If you put those in a completely separate gallery, then you can open them up specifically for those who request them. Personally, I like to see pictures of people in "normal" attire. Take a look at other SM profiles to get an idea on how they handled this and your other profile questions (successful SM include, but are not limited to, Fun_Ahoy, NicAtNight, and bridgetender).

I personally, would never be rude to anyone who inquired, regardless of what they asked or how far off base they were from what was in my profile, but I'm sure that other people probably do make those things hard and fast limits and might think it's bad form think of those as anything else.

It's more my personality than taking myself and everything else too seriously and I thik I'd be a better match with people who have a sense of humor. --------------------------------------- I'm glad to see you're thinking about all the advice given so far. --------------------------------------- He he - as much as I'd like to know everything about everything, I'm forced to admit that I don't, so I do appreciate everyone taking the time to give me feedback. Oh, and as far as the earlier comment about maybe being too harsh - not to worry. Reality is what it is, so I tend to believe positive feedback only if someone will tell me the negative stuff, too. I'm not under any delusions about being mistaken for George Clooney or being 25 years old or whatever. People like what they like and I don't take anything personally. ----------------------------------- I do have another question, though. I'm trying to think of what kinds of photos people would want. I have a face photo in my private gallery and the (I assume) obligatory personal equipment photos in my personal gallery, but I have no idea how many or of what kinds of photos people might want to see.

Once we did send an email saying something like "I know we are over your age preference by 1 year, but... " and that was fine by them, but never did it again.

You could also just put it out there that the age limit is a guideline and not a hard and fast rule for you, and that it will depend on the individual. I'm glad to see you're thinking about all the advice given so far.

It was just a statement of fact about what I've done before. ----------------------------------- Oh, wait - I'm beyond your stated age limit by 4 years. These are just my opinion, and you can do with them what you like. First, though, the point about hair that losamantes made - the preference for having hair or not is so subjective and not universal. I personally like men WITH hair and groove on men of our generation (if I may be so bold) who sport the salt-and-pepper look. You could do all sorts of things to try to fit what you imagine are someone else's wishes, but if you are uncomfortable with your image then it will show in how you comport yourself. Your public pictures look just fine to me. Of course, your decision about hair/no hair may change as you get more experience. Now to the profile: You wrote, "I'm not wanting to date anyone's wife. " and later, "I'm not interested in dating anyone's wife or girlfriend." You may want to add something along the lines of "as her long-term boyfriend." At first read it was a little confusing. I'm not sure it is advisable to keep both of those similar phrases in. I'm not quite sure what you mean by this sentence: "I've so far ventured beyond the usual couple's sex as far as an fmf, but not with women who were bi." Otherwise, I like how your sense of humor comes out and that you are sensitive to couples' wishes while maintaining your own boundaries. If you lived in my state and if we were looking for single men, I would be very tempted to contact you! Oh, wait - I'm beyond your stated age limit by 4 years. Darn! ;^D
