a good example of that is juststyles, he used to be part of stylesandfreakydiva, they left the couples profile in tact with the notation that they are no longer together and now has his own single male profile.

I've seen that too...a new profile and usually either in the tagline or at the beginning it will say "Formerly...so and so"

Either that or make a new profile using most of what your other profile represented sans your ex is another way to go.

I know someone else in this situation and they wrote to customer service and explained they are now a single. They changed his profile for him. You can't do it yourself.
