Does anyone else have a problem with the word "slut", or is it just me? Maybe it's just the way I was raised: I don't mind acting slutty sometimes, but actually being called a slut still bugs me some. M loves the word and likes to call me that, and he knows I don't much like the word. He's trying to get me to like being called that. Before anyone jumps to the wrong conclusion, he's really sweet about it (somehow that doesn't sound right, but I can't think of any other way to describe it) Anyway, just wanted to get everyone else's two cents worth on the subject to get an overall idea what other people think/feel about the word. It is also okay with me that you have your man call you whatever turns you on. As for me I could not/would not ever call you the words we are discussing without your direct instruction. User Details are only visible to members.	Mr. SB's sometimes refers to me as "a well-adjusted-slut" it's meant as a compliment between us and nothing negative at all. Whatever we are in this arena -- we should own it. So I am a sexually confident woman who loves sex and makes no apology for it. If that means I am a slut, so be it, I am a "very well adjusted one" with a lot of sexy friends:)

I'm proud of being sexy and horny - there is absolutely nothing wrong with being called a slut. In the other thread, I think it was pervyduo that said that words only have the power that you choose to give them. Way back when, being called a slut would be considered an insult, often used by other girls (the "good" girls), to denigrate the girls that liked to have sex. I like turning that around. So, to each their own. I am a woman and I am a slut, and damn proud of it. If someone has a visceral reaction to a particular word, it's a very good idea to tell potential play partners that at some point prior to getting together.

User Details are only visible to members.	Why does this thread seem familiar...... In a vanilla setting, I think it inappropriate refer to anybody as a "slut. " In a lifestyle setting,it depends on the context of how it's used and it's not wise to call somebody that unless you are certain it is acceptable to the recipient, as in you personally know it. Now, me, I personally don't give a damn about names or labels, either in Vanilla or LS matters. I let my personality speak for itself, and live my life and act on my sexuality as I see fit, and if some moron thinks that they can elevate themselves somehow by trying to put me down by name-calling, good luck with that!

I can't stand people saying things they don't mean or trying to foster a false sense of bonding, usually because they have an agenda. I deal with people honestly and I expect no less in return. I hate getting jacked around.
