Oh, I know... I've never tried sugaring, but did waxing quite a few times, and waxing is not worth the money for me. Hope to get some insight from ladies who did both, to see how sugaring compares to waxing.

Sugaring and waxing are not the same thing.

That is how I was TB, I would only really be smooth for a few days with waxing. In the recommended 4 weeks between I could grow a full bush if I didn't shave. But shaving between causes issues as well.

My waxing keeps me smooth for MAYBE 4 days. :( Waste of money for me. Although I love the smoothness and the pain is not bad at all, it just doesn't make sense to me to wax. I would have to go every 2 weeks. So if I do decide to go with waxing again, I WILL shave in between, because I kind of have no choice if I want to keep things in check. Lol.

I had my armpits, half legs and a Brazilian. She did everything, down there, including the back side. She set me up an appointment, in 4 weeks but said if I need it sooner or later, I can change the appointment.
The paperwork says not to shave but if I need to, I probably will. I will check in, with how long it stays smooth. I would have a little stubble by now, with shaving and I am still very smooth. Carrie |

The reason that you wait is to let the hair grow to at least 1/4 inch. Shaving would interfere with that. My cosmetologist hates it when I shave between appointments because the hairs split below the skin and become courser which makes the job tougher. With repeated sugaring hairs become finer and sometimes follicles quit working.

lol. I kept the "landing strip" as neat as I could during both pregnancies. Lord knows what it actually looked like, because i couldn't see what I was doing. I gained over 40# both times, and both times, it was almost all belly.

I made Trooper shave me before I went in to deliver both babies. The first one was fun as my water was leaking. The second was a scheduled C-section so he didn't have to worry about water gushes.

bummer!
On a funny side-note, our new prep we use for surgery {c-sections} require that we pretty much shave our patients bald if they haven't already done so themselves. Apparently, it is a burn risk if it doesn't dry completely and hair makes it take infinitely longer to dry. The new joke between a gf of mine and I is we ask each other does she wear the Dr. {doctor's name that wears long dreadlocks} or the Dr. {doctor that is completely cue ball bald} style. |
