User Details are only visible to members.	TB, I will let you know about the grow out time. Just had it done on Wednesday and so far still super smooth. There are similarities between waxing and sugaring, they are not the same. The sugar waxing is not the same. It is wax, with sugar in it. Sugaring is made of all natural ingredients and is not a wax. Sugaring is a little painful. It really only was, for me, when she did it to new areas. Once a lot of the hair was gone, from the area, it didn't really hurt. The best part is she didn't use tweezers to pull any hairs out. That was the worse part of waxing for me. There is also suppose to be a chance of, eventually, hair not growing back. They claim it can, eventually, kill the hair follicle. Carrie

The cosmetologist was shocked when I could carry on a conversation while she waxed, but when I tried to take off an electrode from my abdomen for about 5 minutes, I was practically in tears. I sheepishly asked a technician to do it. I couldn barely feel it when someone else ripped it off.

User Details are only visible to members.	actually sugaring is also called sugar waxing or Persian waxing. It isn't wax but a mixture made from sugar that is used like wax is. It elipates pretty much the same as wax although does tend to be gentler to the skin. make your own: 2 units of sugar 1/4 unit of lemon (either fresh or from a bottle, not from concentrate) 1/4 unit of water Heat to about 118 degrees. Allow to cool. Powder the area with cornstarch or baby powder, apply paste then use muslin to press into the sugar solution, and rip off taking hair with it.

User Details are only visible to members.	Babe, if you didn't like waxing, you probably won't like sugaring. To me they are very similar. Sugaring goes with the hair growth pattern which may make it more comfortable while waxing goes against it. There is no chance of burning like with wax. Last time, I couldn't get a sugaring appointment. The lady that waxed me said that her customers told her that sugaring was more painful. The lady that dies the sugaring says that waxing is more painful unless you have an unusually high body temperature such as during pregnancy. Growing out is fairly similar. I hate the growing out stage, but I also hate shaving. I don't feel smooth for even an hour. Laser didn't work either. To me, the initial discomfort is similar, but I have blistered and swelled from waxing. I also love the way my skin feels after sugaring.

User Details are only visible to members.	Oh, I know... I've never tried sugaring, but did waxing quite a few times, and waxing is not worth the money for me. Hope to get some insight from ladies who did both, to see how sugaring compares to waxing.
