| There hasn't been much chat here about Essure in a few years. I've heard great things, and my doc says none of her patients have had complications. But I've read some complaints online about long periods and spotting in between. Does anyone have experience with this? |

I had my procedure done in May 2012. I've not really noticed any differences in my periods. I've had no spotting in between. My sex drive has increased substantially, but we chalk that up to no birth control pills. My doctor recommended this over a vasectomy, said its much easier to recover from.
To the girl that said insurance didn't know what it is u may just have to refer to it as a sterilization procedure. That's what I had to do. Total cost for me with in office procedure + follow up X-ray was $90. Oh by the way definately am sterile now! Yay! |

All I know, I wanted to have the Essure procedure done, but my insurance did not even know, what it was, so they would not cover it... Had to go with tubal ligation.
