Roguebiker, welcome to the forums!
We just had a single male "no show" several months ago. It does seem to happen often. Get yer ass to Wisconsin! MrD |

I haven't read all the posts, but I would guess that many guys do chicken out because they don't feel that the woman will really show up. I have been stood up in the past on a regular date, much less a date for "swinging". I suppose others are just playing mind games. They make it difficult for those of us that are for real.

We always think it amusing when they contact us again after months have passed. Like we are going to forget they were a no show.

We definitely have something in common. I must admit that many single males seem to be satisfied with just getting a date, and they disappear as soon as you say OK. I don't give second chances, or I should say extremely rare to.
What's really funny is when someone that has done it in the past waits a good 8 months or so, and then they write to you like they have never talked to you before. Makes me scratch my head????? ROFL! RaveN (:~ |

Raven, I hear you. I was always the one that stood up for single men, and I still stand by the fact that there ARE good, honest single men out there. But man oh man, they are the vast exception to the rule. For us, we look at certain things. But in truth, we always have a plan B....we pretty much would not expect him to show up. It seems that once you agree to meet they have fulfilled the "could have had her" fantasy and are gone. Shelly

I keep trying to give single males the benefits of the doubt, but it seems they are better at hiding behind the screen. I think it comes down more about just how honest they really are about themselves.

WE have meet a couple single men that have followed through and meet us. But there has been a couple of experiences in which they did not meet or just fakes. As a result we have some very strict rules in meeting with single guys.
rules: 1. You get one shot- no show you don't get another shot 2. You leave an e-mail that your not going to be able to make it when your ACTUALLY supposed to be meeting us. Don't bother contacting us again. NOte: our cell phone was given for the just in case. 3. No pics not interested Very simple rules. |

Most of us guys feel butterflies when going to a new encounter. We wonder if the woman (if we have never seen her) is not attractive, if this is a scam, perhaps a prostitute (it's happened to me and no, I do not pay for sex), if we won't get along.
It's easy to chicken out in these circumstances. I have never done it myself but did go with some uneasy thoughts before actually meeting the new woman or couple and having a great time. |

I find it hard to get most people, whether it be couples or single women, to even reply to my messages. I'm not disrespectful when writing, so I am puzzled by that. If I'm interested and write, I intend on going through with things. That would be, if we hit it off when chatting.
