We've all set up dates to meet someone for the first time. I'd approached a single lady a few days back. We hit it off. Chat. Emails. Text. Phone calls. All were good/great. We booked a dinner date last Sunday to meet tomorrow (Thursday). I got the following text very early Monday morning: my daughter died last night in a car accident. cancel thursday. I've been upset and thinking about this woman (and her family) that I'd never met. What do you say to comfort someone that has just lost a child?

I've been upset and thinking about this woman (and her family) that I'd never met. What do you say to comfort someone that has just lost a child?

User Details are only visible to members.	Given that you don't actually know her, I don't think there's much you can reply with besides "I am so sorry for your loss. If you need someone to talk to, I'm here". And let it be. If she comes to you, fine, if not, let it go.

User Details are only visible to members.	Wow, how very sad. That's a loss that she will never completely recover from and it will alter her life forever. I suggest that you send a simple message (via email or text) and tell her that she has been on your mind all week and that you are so sorry for her loss. One of my favorite things about the lifestyle is how you can be completely honest with people and don't need the artifice of the real world. She is probably going to find herself putting on a facade of strength for everyone dealing with this loss and there will be few people who she can be vulnerable with and reveal the truth of her loss. I dont know if you were in the process of forming some type of FWB relationship with her but if that is something you are comfortable with, I would tell her that when she is ready to spend time with someone, you're there for her.
